Location: Fairfield, NSW

About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior HR advisor to join our team of approximately 60-70 staff. This role will be based between our Head Office in Fairfield and will involve supporting our workshops in Port Kembla, Newcastle, and Chipping Norton

CNC Machinist

Location: Fairfield, Sydney NSW

About the role:

  • Proven – Min 15 years tradesman on the tools experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings to manufacture components using your skills in Machining operations using, CNC Turning, Milling Machining
  • Strong QA skills in precision measuring tools – micrometres
  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM programming whilst preparing for next
    jobs.
  • Highly skilled at setting up and machining large workpieces.
  • Experience with operating horizontal borers
  • Experienced with Heidenheim and Fagor controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete scheduled tasks in a timely,
    efficient, and accurate manner.
  • Relevant tradesman qualifications- Fitter & Turner or Mechanical
  • Engineering Cert 3 min.
  • High attention to detail and quality.

Trades Assistant/ Forklift Driver

Location: Fairfield East, Sydney NSW

About the role:
We are looking to hire an enthusiastic and proactive Trades Assistant/ Forklift Driver to work in our Fairfield East workshop.

Requirements of the role and personal attributes:

  • Attend to general labouring & maintenance duties
  • Spray painting (desirable) 
  • Ability to operate various power tools 
  • General warehousing, cleaning of workshops and yard duties
  • Comply with all relevant WH&S legislation and RMS laws
  • Monday to Friday 6.00 am – 2:30 pm
  • You must have a great work ethic, a good attitude and be reliable 
  • Forklift license (essential)

Mechanical Engineering Apprentice - Fitter

Location: Fairfield East, Sydney NSW

About the role:
We are now seeking applications from enthusiastic and proactive people wishing to commence a career in modern engineering as a Fitter/Machinist Apprentice at our Fairfield East site.

This role will be full time. You will gain on-the-job experience working onsite and will be fully supported by DCL Engineering in studying towards a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade at TAFE.

Requirements of the role and personal attributes:

  • Completed a minimum of Year 10 School Certificate
  • Awareness and commitment to health and safety requirements
  • Self-motivated with a desire and willingness to learn
  • Be comfortable working independently or as part of a team
  • Have a positive “can do” attitude and sound communication skills
  • Ability to think through a problem and come up with solutions
  • Be a generator of ideas and ability to think outside the square
  • Have a good attitude, sense of humour and the ability to get along with people at all levels
  • Driver’s license preferred

Workshop Fitter

Location: Fairfield East, Sydney NSW

About the role:
We offer a flexible working format with a mix of both onsite and workshop-based work, with opportunities to work overtime. 

Key responsibilities of the role include (but not limited to):

  • Dissemble, overhaul, repair and re-assembly of mechanical components and equipment
  • Following detailed schematic drawings to complete full strip downs of existing Mechanical components/parts
  • Reassembly & refurbishment (after attending in-house training)
  • Ensuring that all company policies and procedures are followed including ensuring the highest WHS standards are always maintained

Transmission Engineer

Location: Port Kembla, NSW

About the role:
This role will be based at our Port Kembla workshop.

Key responsibilities of the role include (but not limited to):

  • Identify transmission and repair sales opportunities and coordinate sales in areas to maximise opportunities.
  • Developing lists of prospective customers and call plans to maximise time spent with customers and sales budget.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by promptly and accurately providing information that enables customers to make informed decisions.
  • Prepare sales forecasts.
  • Effectively manage customer quotes, ensuring a streamlined and efficient handling process from their initial creation to the final delivery stage.
  • Provide customers with technical reports and conduct on-site reviews, as required.
  • Ensuring that all company policies and procedures are followed including ensuring the highest WHS standards are always maintained.
