Industry applications


A wide range of suitable applications for thermal spraying can be found in the engine reconditioning industry, such as arc spraying of pins, main bearings and thrust faces on crankshafts. Repairs to blocks in tunnel bores and caps, liner location bores, thrust faces and even on top decks can be achieved using the arc spray (twin wire) process.


The arc spray (twin wire) can restore damaged and worm components to their original dimensions at a fraction of the cost of expensive replacement spare parts.

Electric Motors

Parts such as motor casings, armatures, rotors and end shields can all be successfully repaired.


Effectively restore joint faces, bores in boxes, bearing journals and seal diameters on a wide range of gears and shafts to the original manufacturing dimensions.
