Gearbox Laser Alignment

Before DCL Engineering Group proceed to test your gearbox, it is imperative for data collection purposes that the circumstances under which we conduct the test be as close to perfect as possible. This includes ensuring that we have the driving and driven shafts, and couplings accurately aligned and within manufacturer's tolerances. Inaccurately aligned shafts may generate false readings on bearing temperatures, vibration analysis and also generate leaks from oil seals.

"GO" - Express alignment by Fixturlaser

Using the "GO" - Express Alignment by Fixturlaser, gearbox shaft alignment is an easy and efficient process compared to traditional methods such as dials, straight edges etc. The "GO" takes measurements using the Tri-Point method and this allows DCL to have alignment results in around 30 seconds.

  • CCD technology used in the measurement units' provides an extra large detector area (30 mm). In most cases, this minimizes or eliminates the need for rough alignment.
  • Measurements can easily be transferred to a PC by connecting the display unit to the PC's USB connection.
  • Pre-mounted fixtures lower mounting and packing time of fixtures.
